Space Age Crown Trifari Sputnik MOD 60’s Charm Bracelet

Saturday, August 23rd, 2008

Gorgeous Space Age 1960’s MOD Crown Trifari signed Sputnik Modernist charm bracelet in Gold plate with cabochon shaped rhinestones. This is by far the most hip Trifari jewelry I have seen!

There are 4 large charms on this bracelet. Two are sputnik shaped (so Modern and Space Age!) and two are satellite shaped. Both are enhanced by smooth round cabochon rhinestones in Red, Yellow, Blue and Green. The color of the metal is a rich 18k Gold plating.

Each of the Sputnik charms is 1 1/2″ in diameter and they are three dimensional. They also have a deeply brushed matte finish. The satellite shaped ones are 7/8″ in diameter, also three dimensional but not perfectly round. They have a criss cross pattern.

The bold chain has alternating textured and smooth large links that are 1/2″ wide by 11/16″ long each. Bracelet measures 7 7/8″ long overall. When the bracelet is closed because the links are large it fits a wrist up to 6 3/4″.  I can add a couple of links to increase the length upon request at no cost. It closes with a large spring ring where the Crown Trifari logo is found.

It is in perfect vintage condition and it’s quite rare. A great addition to your jewelry wardrobe, it gives a hip look to almost any outfit. I am reluctantly selling it, I love it!

Exquisite Carved Jade Kwan-Yi Goddess Statue

Carved Jade Statue

Exquisite Jade carving in the finest of details! Absolutely stunning in carved detail. The quality of the stone is excellent too. Light makes it glow and enhances the beautiful movement of the form on this truly stunning sculpture. She has a beautiful smiling face and holds a Lotus bloom with a seed pod. Besides her stands a crane.

I believe this is a representation of Kwan-Yi, Chinese Goddess of Compassion and the Mother Goddess.

Carving measures 9 1/2″ tall, 6 1/2″ wide approximately overall and 3″ overall in depth. It comes in the original box. This beautiful piece is totally hand carved and is in pristine condition. There are no cracks, chips or fractures at all. I don’t believe it was ever displayed outside of the box. There is no signature I can find. Probably 1950’s.

Antique Art Nouveau Filigree Jade Glass Paste Bracelet

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

Intricately detailed brass filigree and Jade Peking Glass antique Art Deco bracelet. Meant to be worn hi up on the arm, can also be worn as a bangle. This stunning piece is wide and bold, yet delicate and feminine.

It’s airy construction includes a center piece in geometric screen. The foundation is created by using thick wire to form the basic structure upon which all the details are layered. Each detail is applied individually, definitely not a mass produced piece.

The Matte Gold Finish has mellowed over the years to that beautiful shade we love so much. There is no discoloration or oxidation on the metal. It was very well cared for and is in remarkable condition for it’s estimated age.

Antique Art Nouveau Filigree Jade Glass Paste BraceletThe center stone is 17mm in diameter and set with a beautifully ornate rivet. The smaller ones are round cabochons and measure 3 and 5mm. The bracelet is 55mm or 2 3/16″ at the widest point, tapering to 1/4″ in the back. There are beautifully detailed appliqués where the joints meet, so no soldered joints are visible.

Bracelet is 8″ long and can be made wider by separating the ends and smaller by very carefully overlapping them.

This beauty is probably French as all the measurements are exact in the metric system. Circa 1890’s, I’d say it’s Art Nouveau and it is in mint condition.

Antique Three Dimensional Figural Head Hatpin Hat Pin

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

Antique Figural hatpin

Beautiful antique figural Hatpin from the late 19th Century, Victorian/Art Nouveau. Made in wonderful detail, it is the likeness of a young country lad, curls of hair peaking from underneath the wide brimmed hat over his proud forehead.

It is hollow and probably Repousse. I feel strongly it is Sterling Silver, although the only mark is on the underside near the stamp and reads “Pat Appl For”. It is faint, but I am pretty sure that is what it says. It is too small and at a difficult location for a picture, so I did my best and took a few. Please enlarge them for details.

Overall length is 8 3/8″ or 21.5cm. The head sculpture itself is 1 1/4″ or 3cm by 7/8″ or 2.2 cm deep and 1″ or 2.5cm wide across the brim of the hat.

This is a real wearable sculpture, and is in wonderful condition.

Lanvin Necklace in MOD Lucite

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

Oh, so MOD! Vintage 1960s authentic Lanvin Bijoux large Lucite tablet pendant on snake chain.

This is a spectacular piece, signed “Lanvin, Paris” on the back of the pendant.

Pendant measures 3 7/8″ tall not counting the bail, 1 5/16″ wide at the bottom Lucite part, 1 3/8″ at the top metal area, 5/16″ thick at the Lucite and almost 1/2″ at the top metal setting. It is in excellent vintage condition, but there is some wear on the plating with the silver color coming through. It is not dark, it is shiny, so shiny that the reflection of my black top appears. If you notice the shape of the reflection is different on each photo.

The chain is 30″ long and 4mm thick (a bit over 1/8″) and is in excellent shape. there is no loss of gold whatsoever on the chain.

Sold, Thank You!
